GBS named for the fourth time Leader in “Data Leakage/Loss Prevention (DLP) and Data Security” by ISG Provider Lens™
For the fourth time since 2018, GBS (part of DIGITALL) ranks among the leading companies on the German market in the field of “Cybersecurity – Solutions and Services”. In the renowned ISG Provider Lens™ Quadrant Reports, GBS‘s security solution iQ.Suite was recognized as Leader in the category “Data Leakage/Loss Prevention (DLP) and Data Security”.
The ISG Provider Lens™ Quadrant Reports reflect the in-depth market and data analyses and drawing on the know-how of the ISG-experts provide valuable information to companies about possible sourcing partners. The Leader Quadrant of the study features vendors with proprietary technology that offer top-quality products and services in the respective category and are well positioned in the German market. Through their innovative strength and competence, they become benchmarks and opinion leaders.
This year, approx. 25 companies were rated in the DLP category of the study, and only 10 of them made the shortlist as “Leaders”. Of these ten companies, only three, including GBS, are headquartered in Germany and the rest are major multinational players such as IBM and Microsoft.
“It is no coincidence that we have been named market leader for the fourth time. This positioning proves once again that our data protection functionalities are highly efficient and future-proof enough to stand up to the world’s best players in the industry. I want to thank our teams for their great passion for innovation and constant improvement” shares Ivaylo Slavov, CEO of GBS and DIGITALL. GBS is responsible for the innovation and developing of advanced solutions for protection of email and collaboration that are part of the cyber security portfolio of the technology company DIGITALL.
Data security and especially the topic of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) comes more and more into the spotlight with the increasing importance of intellectual property and all types of data: customer and sales data, process data, business and financial data, confidential data, etc. As the ISG Provider Lens™ report states itself, the main drivers for strengthening data security are factors such as the enormous growth in the volume of data, the greater number of hacker attacks on data, together with the unsecured end devices in use, legal restrictions on the monitoring of data, GDPR regulations, and the growth of business social networks, which open up new gateways and access to data.
With email still the most important channel for information exchange, securing data leaving the organisation via email is one of the cornerstones of DLP. As an expert in the field of email and collaboration security, GBS has developed an email solution to address this issue.
iQ.Suite DLP in the lead
GBS’s iQ.Suite identifies sensitive information in texts and attachments of outgoing emails and apply internally defined rules for handling them. What the ISG analysts found most outstanding was the solution’s sophisticated technology, which combines various content detection technologies and enables a high level of security without disrupting business processes. The ISG-analysts also highlight as unique the four-eyes review (double check), which stipulates that an email that is automatically identified as critical according to internal criteria is passed to a predefined person for final approval, thus allowing highest control. Through its dedicated mechanisms, GBS enables a balance between security and business requirements.
Thanks to the comprehensive technology operating on the principle of “analyse, evaluate, block”, iQ.Suite DLP is able to detect behavioural anomalies when sending emails (e.g. large volumes or too many recipients) and block suspicious emails. In order for administrators to monitor the flow of data in emails, the solution visualises key figures on a web-based dashboard and allows easy export of data for reporting purposes. This level of control and visibility of data leaving the organisation via email ensures compliance with current data protection policies.
