Note:
Support for the 32-bit version of the Avira Scan Engine has finally expired and can no longer be supported in the iQ.Suite versions.
Please switch to the 64-bit version of the Avira Scan Engine and use current iQ.Suite versions to continue to receive the full protection of the Avira Scanner.

Note:
Microsoft released the Windows Server Security Updates for Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019 and Windows Server 2022 on October 8, 2024.
With these security updates, a Windows DLL was installed, which is also used by the iQ.Suite. The iQ.Suite was created with a different DLL version, which led to compatibility problems with SQL access of the multi-client versions.
These problems were resolved with the following iQ.Suite fix versions
- iQ.Suite Microsoft 23.0.5
- iQ.Suite Microsoft 22.2.6
Note:
If you use the iQ.Suite WebClient together with the Microsoft Entra ID login process, we recommend that you install a current WebClient version (>=22.2.3 or >=21.2.9).
The latest iQ.Suite WebClient versions contain an important security fix.
If you use iQ.Suite Microsoft or iQ.Suite KeyManager with PostgreSQL, please update current PostgreSQL versions.

The PostgreSQL developers have closed the vulnerability in versions 12.20, 13.16, 14.13, 15.8 and 16.4.
Problem:
The AvPack license for the unpacker had expired on the GBS update servers.
Solution:
The AvPack was replaced on the GBS update servers and is now working properly again.
The iQ.Suite will now automatically download the new AvPack.
If the automatic download cannot download the new avpack.key, for example because the proxy connection does not work or an older iQ.Suite version does not yet carry out an automatic update, then you have to intervene manually.

iQ.Suite Microsoft:
Copy the avpack.key file to the …\iQ.Suite\bin directory
and then restart the iQ.Suite service.
iQ.Suite Domino:
Stop the tm_grab and td_grab server tasks (Domino Console: tell tm_grab quit and tell td_grab quit)
In the directory ..\Domino\iQSuite\unpacker\
a.) Delete the tk_unpack2_UPD.checkedstamp.log file
b.) Copy the avpack.key into this directory
Reload the td_grab and tm_grab server tasks (Domino Console: load tm_grab / load td_grab)
Further action plan:
The internal process for updating third party licenses on the GBS update servers was analyzed. An optimization of the process was discussed and should be implemented promptly.
We will implement validation of all license information in the GBS update servers, with GBS internal monitoring function. The license files are renewed annually and are valid for 4 years.
Note
Due to the switch to a new server for pattern and engine updates, the IP address for updater.gbs.com will change from 217.160.178.186 to 212.227.193.175 on Wednesday, 12. April 2023. Action is only required if you use a rule based on the IP address instead of the URI for updater.gbs.com in your firewall.
Note
Microsoft has discontinued the use of Azure Active Directory Graph on June 30, 2022.
As of iQ.Suite Microsoft 20.1 Azure AD Graph in iQ.Suite will be completely converted to Microsoft Graph.

The download URL for pattern and engine updates has changed for the Avira Scan Engine. The new URL is: http://updater.gbs.com/savapi64.
Note
The Microsoft Access Database Engine (AccessDatabaseEngine_X64.exe) is installed in the iQ.Suite Setup. If an error occurs during the installation and the database engine is not installed correctly, it is possible to install this engine separately afterwards.

Please download the 64-bit version.
For installation: Open a Windows command prompt or PowerShell, change to the folder in which the setup is saved and start the setup with the following command line:
AccessDatabaseEngine_X64.exe /quiet
iQ.Suite for Microsoft/SMTP uses the SMTP Server of the Windows Server operating system as email server. To manage the SMTP Server, the Management Console of the Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 is used. If using Windows Server 2022, the IIS 6.0 Management Console may crash in certain cases. For this reason, we cannot support iQ.Suite on Windows Server 2022 even though iQ.Suite itself runs on Windows Server 2022
